The watchful guardian stands tall in wind and rain, beneath the smiling sun, unchanging through the calm days and stormy nights.  My sanctuary.  A place of many moods indeed, my tree house remains the same whether viewed in happiness or through a veil of tears.  Standing alone in the middle of the field, it rears majestically from the open ground.  Its branches spread wide overhead casting a dappled shadow on those who linger below, or venture up to rest a while among the spreading branches.  Ancient and gnarled it stands forever. A dark cliff face looms up, adorned in places by small mountain flowers and the occasional bush or tree. Nearly invisible across the face of the cliff runs a tiny path, just the faintest hint of a winding line climbing the cliff. If you should happen to stumble upon the base of this path you would be lucky, for the lower reaches are obscured from view by vegitation. All things green and growing, making their home at the bottom of the cliff, spreading nearly to the edge of the lake.
